Only a bit lucky, I'd argue. The second chance, that was skied over the bar, was a very difficult angle. And, at any rate, Duke didn't really generate chances aside from set pieces and mistakes. That can win games, but not a lot of them.
Stanford generated chances from the run of play. That's the more durable path to success. Not to say this is a guarantee--soccer history is full of flukish goals leading to victory--but Stanford was the better team in the first half and outclassed Duke in technical ability by a good margin. If they make adjustments they should win this.
Here's what I'd do:
1) figure out if I can get push from the fullbacks on both sides of the field (move Levin back to right back)
2) pressure Duke heavily up the field. Their forwards and midfielders have fairly good technical skills; their back four doesn't. Pressure extensively and they'll be smothered.
