Is anyone going to use this travel package?

Includes airfare, hotel at Westin, New Years party, pep rally, pre-game tailgate, travel between all festivities, and a few other bells and whistles.
It also has package pricing: the more people you have, the less the cost per person.
I do not have any other participants willing to go with, was wondering if anyone wanted to pool together?
I would be willing  to travel out of either of the covered Bay Area airports, San Jose or San Francisco.

I remember receiving Anthony Travel's postings going way back, but I've never used them because they seemed expensive.

I happened on a story about FanTravel.com, a company started by Alex Loukas and Brian Bulke. http://www.webwire.com/ViewPressRel.asp?aId=150008.  The packages do not include tickets or airfare, and are extremely reasonable. About $250 and up for hotel, food and parties.

Its a rip off for the package.  When I have a bit more time (read: later today) I will throw up some rough numbers of why and what I ran when contemplating going..  If you are going to go, you are better off piecing together your own prices.

The Downtown Sheraton is pretty distant from the Westin Kierland which is HQ for Stanford.  If you want to hang out with the Stanford crowd, you would need a car and be prepared to spend a lot of time on the road.

Anthony Travel had rooms for $119 at the Ritz Carlton which not surprisingly are sold out.  I am looking at hotels in the North Scottsdale area near the Kierland and the rates for decent hotels are $100-200 per night.  if you go on your own, make sure that you pay attention to the per night rate.  Rates for Jan 2 much higher than for Jan 1.

I had a great time last year staying at a downtown Miami hotel, but I very much wish I had stayed at one of the official hotels on Miami Beach.  Would have been a lot more expensive, but it would have been worth it to have more pre-game atmosphere.  I'm optimistic about the future of Stanford football, but it's not like we can count on BCS bowls on a regular basis.  If you can afford it, make the most of the experience.
