Although I took Physics at Stanford when she was getting her PhD in Physics and lived in La Jolla, possibly next door, when she lived there, I never met or knew much about her other than the top headline as America’s first woman in space. “Sally” offers an intimate look into the remarkable person she was that led to her selection and achievement. And it shows how much she sacrificed to overcome the challenges she faced.
