I know many of us (myself included) think Andrew deserved to win the award that shall not be named but Griffin was a fine choice as well. If one of our guys wasn't in the running and if it weren't for the frustration of coming in 2nd in 3 out of the last 4 years, I'd have been rooting for RG III as well. Griffin was a far better choice than the previous several winners and he clearly wasn't chosen based on name recognition of the school or conference.
That, of course, in no way exonerates the "best performance last week" mentality of the voters...
