Stanford grabbed a leave late because of a heave from Aaron Bright to go up by three. Turnabout is fair play--Illinois State is only really close because of some (presumably) unsustainably hot jump shooting, of the three point and long two variety. That's not to say Stanford is playing all that great either--the offense is often fairly turgid as per usual, though Aaron Bright seems to have rediscovered his early-season sparkle, with a couple of daring passes and three point shots. Other than that, there's been some very casual passing and defending--perhaps there's a bit of a finals hangover? Who knows? But this game hasn't really told us anything we didn't already know about the team.
