He is aligned with that ESPN survey of college players then.  The survey of players nationwide was referenced earlier in his blog, and on many ESPN programs during the day.

I loved their perspectives on the Pac-10 conference, so their Locker rating is OK by me.  Why did I love the player survey results?

Pac-10 Team picked to win the conference?  Stanford
Pac-10\'s best coach?  Harbaugh
Pac-10\'s best player?  Locker

I hope those players know what they are talking about even if that means Locker is the best player.

My point wasn\'t that he didn\'t rank Locker ahead of Luck, it was that he said there was very little space separating them.

Face it, both Locker and Luck are extraordinary talents.  Based on what they have accomplished to date I\'d probably give the nod to Locker, too.  In December we can tally up who\'s had the best season this year.
