I've been asking "Why?" for about two years now and I've pretty much given up on the subject. His MPG really should be near zero, and I suspect we'd have an extra win or two this year if we had a more sensible substitution policy with him.

It seems to me that, with about 7 minutes left to go in the first half, the Stanford team that's played the last 3 games all got on a bus and left town, and it's been replaced by that other Stanford team we watched all season... :(

It seems to me that, with about 7 minutes left to go in the first half, the Stanford team that's played the last 3 games all got on a bus and left town, and it's been replaced by that other Stanford team we watched all season... :(

Yes, I know this is just the NIT, and I am not watching (still at work). Dawkins can instead put him in at the end of the game, if it's a blowout one way of the other. Bill Walsh expressed it best with this pointed comment:  "Show me a sentimental coach, and I'll show you a loser."Â

My bad...the bus apparently didn't make it through the Lincoln Tunnel before they got it turned around...

In some ways better, in some ways worse. While he shot a higher percentage (28%), he took more threes overall--which I suspect had more of a negative impact than anything.
