The Voldemort, that is. As part of some act of public contrition, Reggie Bush says he feels so bad, he wishes he could return the Voldemort Trophy, but he can\'t. Well, Reggie. Why not just send it to them. What are they going to do, put you in jail?
Reggie also says "nobody feels worse than I do" about the fallout from his taking money from an agent while still playing for USC.
Oh, I don\'t know about that. I could probably round up 10 people in 2 minutes who feel worse than Reggie about how this turned out. Starting at the Mike Garrett household.
Since all this (above) was released through new USC AD Pat Haden, it has the feel of a corporate damage control/ rehabilitation plan, one that sells the public the "lone gunman" theory while taking the focus off USC\'s program. Â Step one: ban Reggie from campus. Step two: work with Bush to control the message and get him to take all the blame. Step three: promise Reggie a sentimental lifting of the ban when all this blows over.
Too cynical?
