Notice Stanford's jump in revenue from 2007-2008 (last out of the 10 schools with a $6.9M payout) to 2010-2011 (first, $12.4M). Meanwhile Ca.l went from 5th/$8.6 to 8th/$7.6.
During this same time period the overall payout increased from $96M to $111M. The discrepancy between 1st and 10th place payouts that was $3.5M in 07/08 climbed to $5.6M in 10/11. (Rights Fees, Bowl and NCAA Tourney payouts.)
Anyway, over the last five years the financial pie grew some but more tellingly Stanford's share increased. I guess a rising (football) tide HAS raised all Stanford ships - almost $6M worth! Well, either that or we were just LUCKy.
