So I was catching up this morning on the ongoing local political scandal involving the mayor of Washington, DC. It turns out that Ronald Machen, the U.S. Attorney who has gotten a string of guilty pleas from associates of the mayor, is a former walk-on wide receiver at Stanford.  Machen is now being touted by some as a potential mayoral candidate in 2014.

Machen was a member of Stanford's 1989 and 1990 teams, which means he was a teammate of Cory Booker. Perhaps the two of them got together after practice to plot world domination.
