The idea was that all the partners -- FOX, ESPN, ABC -- would sit at the table with the Pac-12 Network and hold a draft of some sort. The biggest games would get the usual national prime time treatment on one of the Big 3 networks, and the leftovers would air on the regional branches of the Pac-12 Network. The Pac-12 Network, though, has the right to a certain number of games that they would then choose to broadcast across all branches of their Network. I don't know if they get to choose ANY game. The Oregon-U.S.C. game looks at this point to be the most desirable conference game, but I don't know if they'd be able to pick that one. (If they're honest with themselves, and if Larry Scott has anything to say about it, they WOULDN'T pick that one, and instead give it the true national exposure it deserves. Of course, they don't know what we know, and that's that U.S.C. won't actually be undefeated when they get to Oregon, thanks to a crushing loss in Week 3 to the Mighty Card!)

Anyway, that's my understanding. Does that sound right?

Sounds right although you would know better than I would what goes on in these sorts of matters.  I bet the league is paid well by national broadcasters for the rights to the marquee games, and the rest of the games will be organized under the conference network banner for cable consumption.  Not a bad setup, to be honest.  I was tired of digging around for Comcast/Fox regional small fry channels...now I'll be digging for a rarely-carried conference network.  Longhorn Network, anyone? :p

I figure the league would keep at least one or two premier games to make the network worthwhile.  Nevada @ kal also seems like a decent matchup unless they fell apart after Kaepernick left.
