Last year the WBB schedule was announced on August 15. Some colleges announce their schedules as early as mid July. A lot of games have been announced by the teams Stanford will be playing.Â
We will play Baylor at a November tournament in Hawaii, apparently. Going up against Griner without Nneka and before our team has jelled--it will be a learning experience, I'm sure.
In December we go on the road to play Gonzaga, then South Carolina and Tennessee, then come home to play Connecticut a week later. Our Maples winning streak will be on the line. Connecticut should be a considerably better team than last year.
Somewhere I thought I saw the Pac-12 schedule.
Still, it is odd that Stanford has not yet released its schedule. It must be sorting out the last-minute non-conference games that will fill in between the likes of Baylor, Tennessee, and Connecticut.
In any case, this fall sounds very challenging for a team in some transition.
