My all time favorite sports memory where I was actually at the game and among the Top 10 all time as a sports fan. Thanks for posting.
Fun to see a couple now famous names on the sidelines:Â Booker and Shaw.Â
Unfortunately the stupid 82 play is an easier "sound bite" so we have to suffer the ignominy of its replay every year. Somebody should edit this 1990 game to 20 seconds so that it can replayed as a companion to the stupid 82 play every year. I suppose getting to watch this so-called "Play" is the small consolation prize for getting into Kal but not Stanford.

If you watch carefully at 7:40 when Hopkins is running on the field #84 "Shaw" makes an appearance.
Goose bumps every time that ball goes through the uprights.

That was my freshman year--I was in the corner right above where McCaffrey caught the TD. What a great memory.
