Already Bear Insider is echoing sighs of disappointment.  "Insiders" (i.e. someone a poster knows and who has an opinion) were previously reporting Te.dford was gone.  Now "Insiders" are being cited in the media as sources for reports that Te.dford is, in fact, returning for next season.  The longer there is no news,  I think it becomes clear that Jeff got that reprieve.

Wilner posted a later tweet that said his sources closer to the program were the ones indicating he would stay and those more peripheral were indicating he would leave. The Sacramento Bee reporter also indicated that Tedford was probably staying.

I actually really like Bearinsider and like most of the commentators there.  Actually a pretty reasonable fanbase.  There are a few oddballs who are convinced we are winning because our players are on "roids".

I kind of feel sorry for them now.  They are in a state of despair with news that he may be back.

In this case, to halt the rumor mill and get people focused on moving forward with Plan A, I think they would need to at least issue a press release on how "T.edford has the full support of the AD....a vision to succeed...built a great program with top notch facilities...etc, etc, etc." Otherwise, the Bear fans (and football recruits) will be wondering when the announcement is coming.
