Nottingham to Columbia

Good choice. He gets to play right away and gets a good education.
He is right about the culture shock. The two schools are very different in more ways than just the campus. Back in my day, we had a woman from New York who was just miserable. Nothing in Palo Alto was quite good enough. She quickly transfered to Columbia law school. A year later, we heard that she found Columbia to be too high strung even for her.
I expect that being part of the football team will help the transition.

I am happy for him. He will get a good education and probably get to play a lot of football, which is clearly a passion. Good choice, and best of luck to Nottingham. He handled the situation with class.

At least their band has a similarly irreverent and controversial reputation. That will feel like home.

He will need to start for some school in order to have a shot at the next level. Hogan isn't a proven world-beater yet, and riding pine behind Hogan (Luck, to some extent) isn't as forgivable as riding pine behind Palmer/Leinart. Good luck to Nottingham. Those NFL dreams are still out there for him.

What the hell are you talking about? Hogan is gonna play on many more Sundays than Pick-Six Palmer and Matty Beer Bong.

The pundits tend to lag us in recognition of Stanford talent...Nottingham doesn't have that time. But yes, Hogan's gonna be dueling Andrew Luck in the pros if all goes well :)
