I'll confess to my odd superstition: I never set my DVR (and in the old days, my VCR) to record a live Stanford athletic event. I always feared that the outcome would be disappointing and that I'd come home and dejectedly erase it later. (As that Bud Light commercial about sports superstitions says, hey, it's only weird if it doesn't work!)
As a result, I've had to search for replays of the Rose Bowl. I did record the Pac 12 network two hour version, which is better than their usual 60 minute broadcast, but it still left something to be desired. It does cut out some commentary between plays, and even worse, it ends before the awards ceremony and interviews post-game
But for those of you who don't have a recording: It's being rebroadcast on ESPNU (channel 788 on Comcast) at 930 PM tonight. ESPN usually shows everything, including the full post game analysis and awards ceremony. It does save time by eliminating the commercials, so this is a no lose proposition. So set your DVRs!
(I'm hoping they'll show the band's halftime show so I hear their commentary, but I'm not too optimistic about that.)
