By most accounts, Peter Kalambayi is the highest rated recruit and is probably the headliner of the class, yet neither Shaw or the assembled media brought up his name yesterday. That seems odd to me.Â
Skov, Vaughters and Davis were all considered big time LB signings, but honestly none of those guys were as physically developed and more impressive on video than Kalambayi. Watching it, I feel I'm watching a Florida State LB recruit. He's powerfully built, strong, fast, and explosive, and to me looks like a guy who could play as a Frosh and be better than Vaughters as a Frosh.
So what about him? Stanford is loaded at all LB positions, and PK can play inside or outside. Where do y'all see him fitting in? Does he beat out Lancaster or Martinez inside? Anderson or Davis outside? Vaughters better be working his hiney off because he is also a swing guy who could be beat out by Kalambayi either inside or outside, IMO.
