Quietly, Robin Lopez has put together his best season as a pro. 25.7 min, 11.4 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 1.7 bpg. All career highs. After his 2nd year, he declined year over year twice and I worried he was going to fade to obscurity. Sure, the Hornets are a crappy organization, but it's good to see he has a bit more career stability than I thought.

Anthony Davis has required a little more seasoning than initially expected.  I thought the plan was to have Davis play center for New Orleans, but he's ended up as the starting PF instead (ahead of Ryan Anderson, who I thought would be the starting PF).  Good for Robin!

I don't think it's a coincidence that Brook is also having his best year ever.  Surely that's motivating. When your identical twin is an All-Star and you're not, you can only blame yourself, not genetics.

Brook had a lane, and just about every Hornet was inside the crash circle...instant recipe for Nets dunk.  Robin wasn't even really in position to guard as Brook came in--that would be the fault of Al-Farouq Aminu (UCLA alum), who stepped aside (probably wisely as he was also in the crash circle) and didn't even attempt a swat.
