According to Eskildsen's twitter bio, he's left to be an assistant coach at Rice University. A promotion, I presume, from his video coordinator/recruiting coordinator job he apparently held before.

Definitely a promotion. Congrats to him and good luck.
But like Madsen leaving, who in their right mind would take the job when Dawkins is a lame-duck coach who is likely to be gone after next year anyway - leaving the rest of the staff on the chopping block when the new guy comes in.
This all goes back to Muir not having the guts to fire Dawkins after five years of not getting to the NCAAs (one of only FOUR coaches in major D1 with that distinction).
But like Madsen leaving, who in their right mind would take the job when Dawkins is a lame-duck coach who is likely to be gone after next year anyway - leaving the rest of the staff on the chopping block when the new guy comes in.
