Unbiased opinion - Plunkett was the greatest Stanford QB I ever saw play (and I've seen them all from Dick Norman to the present.

There is a reason Plunkett won the Voldemort and led his team to a Rose Bowl Championship (and Luck did neither) - because Jim P. was the better player.

I'm not certain of why all the "Luck love".  Heck, even the guy we loved to hate - Elway was a better QB.  The pass he threw in the 82 Big Game that led to LSJU's last score was the single best play from scrimmage I have ever seen in a college game.

I didn't see Plunkett play at Stanford, so I can't offer an opinion about whether he was better than Luck. But I want to make sure I follow your reasoning.

* Tee Martin was a better QB for Tennessee than Peyton Manning. Martin won a national championship; that settles it, right?
* Toto was a better band than The Beatles. Toto won "Record of the Year" at the Grammys, while the Not So Fab Four came up empty.
* Nate Longshore is the best 59er QB of the modern era, since he won a Holiday Bowl, something the mediocre Aaron Rodgers could never achieve.
