Would it be possible to create a pinned post, or maybe even a separate board for recruit admission status? 

Would be nice to know what the status is among the following choices per each offered recruit:

Plans to fill out application (PA)
Working on application (WA)
Submitted application (SA)
Admitted (A)

People who follow recruiting closely tend to know this, then people like me go to the commit lists on the recruiting sites and wonder who has been admitted and who hasn't.  Would be nice to know the status all in one place.

I know it is completely illogical, but the the weird voyeuristic aspects of following recruits goes to 11 when it comes to the admissions status of Stanford recruits.

I kind of prefer the generalized "looks like he has been accepted so it's final" that appears out of nowhere.

Like finding money in a trouser pocket.

That's fine too.  At minimum, it would be nice to have some place to see a summary of publicly made announcements of admission status.

Really?  We're going to revisit this again?  I'm one of the more active posters on this topic and I found that when we moved the thread to a separate board that it dampened the discussion.  I do think it's a good idea to pin it to the top, but not necessarily put on a separate board.

The admission status update is a good idea.  Since I created both threads and follow the topic closely I will take responsibility for keeping it updated on the original post of the threads.  If I neglect to do it, just private message me.

No, we're not going to revisit this. The board is staying until the end of the season. It's pinned to the top of the board, so readers don't even have to wonder where the thread is.
