The parade killed the tailgating vibe for me. Not enough time to park and tailgate if you're at the parade.

Defense
Their best player is CB Darquese Dennard. Consistently maintains tight coverage without drawing flags. Very adept at getting his hands in place to knock away balls.
Their run defense did not play great. They had trouble containing Braxton and Hyde during the end of the 1st half and beginning of the 2nd half. We are more balanced than Ohio State so I think we will be more effective.
Offense
Their RB Langford is very hard to bring down on the first tackle attempt.
Their QB Cook is a very cool customer. According to a Michigan State fan I watched the game with, this was Michigan State's biggest game since a game in the late 60s. Cook did not seem nervous at all. Made excellent decisions throughout the game. Did not get rattled by pressure. Did not get rattled when they blew a big lead. Made big 3rd down passes. He is not mobile so our pass rush (which is better than OSU's) should get to him.
Coach
Dantonio reminds me of Shaw. Very calm on the sidelines. Very conservative play calling generally, though he took some smart risks on 4th down that paid off. The only time the guy expressed any emotion was at the end of the game when they sealed the victory.
Fans
I wonder how their fans will travel. The crowd at Lucas was 95% Ohio State even though Indy is not that much further away from Lansing than it is from Columbus. Though 99% of the fans in Michigan are Wolverine fans. Michigan is to Oregon, as Michigan State is to Oregon State. Basically the only people who are Michigan State fans either went there or have family that went there. I even worked with a guy who went to Michigan State but was still a Skunk Bea.r. Michigan State has not been to a Rose Bowl in a long time so a significant proportion of their fan base will make the trip. There just aren't that many of them, and they don't have the reputation for being loud, like Wisconsin.
