After all the ticket turmoil of the last 24 - 48 hours, what do I get in my email this morning? A plea for donations to the Buck/Cardinal Club. Despite being a current (albeit minor) donor, I didn't even end up with an opportunity to get on a wait list should future tickets come available through the Stanford ticket office. I'm sure they were hoping to capitalize upon the good will and excitement of the Rose Bowl to boost donations, but it comes across as pretty ill-timed and unfortunate.

I got a reminder call last night from the school.  I know those things are scheduled many months in advance, but it would have been smart to call us all before 12/3 so that we could get engagement points.  OR to point out that a special allocation of 1000 tickets have been reserved for those that increase their engagement today.

I think my season tickets got me Rose Bowl tickets, but if I didn't have Rose Bowl tickets I might have been interested in getting access to a special increased engagement type allocation.
