I assume you mean edge to Golson, yes?
Yes.
Where did you get fumble stats? I have been had trouble finding that.
Play-by-play data from ESPN. I counted all fumbles, to be clear -- not just fumbles lost.
The interception numbers are the same within the appropriate error bars.
Almost certainly, but I don't really have the math.
And I calculate Hogan has thrown 8 TDs in 100 attempts (8.00%) vs Golson's 11 in 135 (8.14%) - were you giving something different?
Added in rushing TDs.

Secondly, it reads to me that you have made a better argument against using these TD numbers than for it.
I could've been clearer. In general I think it's easy to inflate TD totals. If you have a low TD total that may be a sign you're doing (or not doing) something well. But I'll admit I don't have enough data to judge.

I wouldn't yadda, yadda, yadda that, but would point out those are basically identical numbers.
"Yadda yadda yadda" was meant to suggest you could say the same thing about Shaw as I did Kelly. Or maybe there's a third (or fourth) factor driving the disjunction.

Ouch.
I am a physicist. Years of training has made that sentence grate on me to an extent you likely cannot understand.
... though I guess I understand what you mean here.

I have little math on my own and just rely on it based on my medical journalism. So I'll happily admit I've probably been sloppy. What I mean is, it's a bit strange that they have very similar statistics and yet their offenses have such variable outputs. It's not the running game -- N.D. only has 4.18 YPC. So what's the difference? Unsure. Other than the redzone issues. Which might be on... a lot of things, I guess. I'm a bit suspicious of anyone who thinks they've got an easy answer.
