10. If ND wins, their odds of making the playoffs go up dramatically. I'd prefer to avoid Condi having to waste any brain cycles contemplating those over-rated cheaters (sorry, getting caught while cheating doesn't make you better than other cheaters; it just means you are also incompetent).

Like I said in a previous post, mid-October is way too early to be scoreboard watching for the purpose of evaluating Stanford's playoff hopes.
But I am rooting for utter and total chaos in the FBS universe--the Pac-12 has already obliged--with no undefeated team at the end of the regular season.
Except for Marshall, of course.

So I was wrong. It is only the 2nd quarter but I find that I can't pull for Florida State, no matter how much I dislike the Irish. I dislike Winston that much more.

FSU looked OK, and likely will not lose in ACC play. However, South Bend U looked OK and was playing on the road. In some ways, South Bend U was an unlucky loser.
Not hard to imagine a scenario where both schools take slots in the football playoff. And that would make it rather unlikely that any Pac-12 team would get in since South Bend U could have three wins against Pac-12 schools.
