I've seen no word on Parry other than from Tom Fitzgerald that he has a leg injury. Rule of Tree has a photo of Parry on the sidelines with his right knee iced (hard to paste using smartphone). How did Phillips (1 sack?) and Lohn, and Lueders for that matter, seem to do? I am hoping Parry is 100% for Oregon game at least. We'll have to wait until tomorrow I suppose.

Don't remember Lohn playing.  I was at the game and watched Phillips quite a bit and I thought he played very well.  Leuders was in on a number of tackles, but if he also missed some I didn't catch.

I was seated in the next to last row of the corner of the stadium which made it tougher to follow individual players unless the action was at our end of the field.  But I thought that the DL held its own.  ASU only got 2.5 yards per carry running.  The DL did a good job of gumming up the running lanes between the tackles which allowed the LBs to make a lot of plays.  Stanford had 8 TFLs that were non-sacks, 12 TFLs total which is a great effort.

I think the issue going forward will once again be depth.  We are effectively playing our 4th string nose tackle (Nwafor out pre-season, then losing Shittu and perhaps Parry).  Who backs up Phillips?  May have to move Anderson, Leuders even Kaumatule inside at times.  Will be interesting to see the DL depth chart for this week.

Indeed, Bob!  We were squeezed in a few rows behind you and the fan-who-liked-to-draw-attention-to-himself.  That was probably the most excitement all day for the upper part of section 24. 

I will be on campus this weekend.  Planning to watch volleyball on Friday (upper concourse general admission) then football on Saturday (tailgates then section 211).  Would really like to meet you if it works out.  Feel free to PM me and we can make arrangements.

Not much to tell, GG.  In the 2nd half, the fans were a little chippy.  Down in front of me (and near Bob's row), a couple of guys at the end of the row kept standing up.  Not so much to cheer, but to be social.  Fans behind yelled at them to sit down.  Personally, there was plenty of action (especially when Stanford was on offense) that I would have preferred not to see.  But these fans paid their money and wanted to watch the game.

For some reason, a guy in the middle of the section became upset at the fans who were calling "Sit down."  He stood himself for a good long while, yelling "Yeah, everyone should sit down" even as he blocked the views of others.  Someone called Security who came and escorted him out.

Perhaps Bob saw more than I did about what may have precipitated this exciting off-field action.
