.....that I live in Scotland and cannot watch Stanford play live on the TV, and often (including last night) cannot even listen to the KZSU commentary when KZSU is on the fritz, so I  must get up at 4am in my morning to follow the game on the analog reporting of SI or ESPN.  I lasted only about an hour last night.

Even in analog, I know (and have for a long time) that Hogan is mediocre QB (having been one myself, but at least I had a good motion and a quick release....) and Shaw is a less than mediocre coach.  Coach Shaw's future is as an Assistant Whatever in the NFL.  He has continuously (including the ugly RB win over a mediocre Wisconsin and an even uglier RB loss to MSU) failed the leadership test that identifies greatness in coaching ability.

The more that Hogan starts/plays the fewer snaps that Chryst (or Burns) gets this year and the lesser hopes we have for our future.

Muir seems to be a no-op (viz Dawkins), so I think we have at least 9 months of helll ahead.....

To describe a coach who has taken us to three straight BCS bowls and two straight conference championships as "less than mediocre" is getting a bit much. What he is not very good at is running an offense and hopefully he will finally see that and do something about it.

Maybe a "bit" much, but not "too" much IMHO.  We are all Stanford Nerds and know the difference between cause and effect.  Over the past 3 years the effect has been well above expectations, but what was the cause?  Shaw?  I doubt it....

If you are going to blame Shaw for our current shortcomings, then you are going to have to give him credit for the successes of the past three years. As head coach he has to be at least partially the cause of them.
