Ah...  The Sandy Barbour regime.  I remember it well.  Her reign of terror produced a lot of unpleasant memories, particularly with respect to allowing the football coach to sign academically unqualified applicants.

That strategy has never worked.  Ironically, the coach in question is on record as having said that things started going downhill for him when he relaxed his practices regarding who he recruited as well as monitoring the academic progress of his players.

Looks like another year of 4 starting forwards and no real point guard.  All that height works well against some teams but not everyone (see "Dayton, University of").

Chasson Randle is 6-2, which wouldn't have been tall enough to play forward at my high school. He may not be a point guard, but he's hardly a forward.

Randle?  I meant Anthony Brown, who's 6'6".

You said four forwards; I assumed you including Randle, because Nastic is way too slow to be a forward. He's a low-post center.

Sorry, I should've said "forwards/centers."  Anyway, it's 4 tall guys and 1 guard.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no.  The smaller Dayton team sure ran circles around us in the Sweet 16 game.

But the big issue for me is that last year's team had a lot of trouble with ball movement and finding an open guy on offense.  Remember all those possessions where we just passed the ball around the perimeter and never really ran a play?  That could be even worse this year--Powell and Huestis were #1 and #4 on the team in assists last year.  Even if Travis and Allen are good passers for forwards, they're both freshman, and I wouldn't expect a lot of assists from them. 

Maybe we're better off with Roscoe Allen and Reid Travis in the lineup and no real PG, but I'd hope that Dawkins will at least consider going with a guard who can run the offense and dish to open guys.  Perhaps none of our guards are ready yet, but Marcus Allen had some nice moments last year, and Robert Cartwright was the #11 PG in his class according to Scout.
