Kal mouthpiece Mike Silver....

Sweet. To his credit, he seems focused on the game and not the officiating.
I admit to taking a stroll through B.earinsider last night.
They are still pissed about Shayne Skov from last year ("targeting" not called).
Essentially, yesterday only caused their enormous persecution complex to grow even more.
Fortunately for the rest of us Bay Area folks, not all Kal fans are like those on the message boards...

I mean, he's not wrong. Shaw made some weird decisions during the game (the end-of-half sequence was strange but excusable, not being ready for that onside kick was really bad, maybe Alamar is losing his mojo?), but switching back and forth between QBs had me baffled. Goff wasn't doing that badly and the other kid was clearly even worse. What was the point of throwing him in? And Sonny sure did seem to wildly vacillate between trying to win and just giving up at the end. Plus the penalties, what did they end up with, 150 yards? And it could have been more!
That performance looked like all of the stuff we've been complaining about this year but times ten. It's amusing when you're on the outside...

I know nobody here would pay a premium membership to see real Ca.l fans discuss things, but I can assure you nobody on the Ca.l Rivals board is in any way blaming officials for the loss. BI is reserved for the delusional.

I just took a dip in the waters over at California Golden Blogs. Similarly delusional. If you're looking for some schadenfreude, click over. The general idea is that Stanford deserved the win, but the refs bastardized the entire game. Also, lots of talk about Shayne Skov and the rest of the dirty Stanford players.
Please clear the field! The game is not over!

Silver is going off a little hard there. Tell me how you really feel, Mike...
