ESPN's Game Day crew -- doing their act at Harvard/Yale in Boston-- split evenly on the real Big Game:  Des Howard = Kal, some guy who played for Harvard and was NFL all-pro = Stanford.  Corso and Herbstreit split Stanford and Kal. 

What hacked me off was they did their show in front of 100 students....well, OK 250 students.  Oh, all right, 325 students.  Anyhow, not a classic Game Day setup.  But back when WE were good  (remember that?) the prominent argument against bringing Game Day to Palo Alto was how small the crowd would be.  Grrrrrr.

You left out the salient difference: We weren't playing a school in Connecticut.

I think it's great that they took Game Day to Harvard for "The Game."  I'm a California native and believe that east coast bias exists, but I tip my hat to ESPN for not showing up at some football factory like FSU or USC with Game Day.  They went to a place with real student athletes and an unmatched tradition/history in football.    Good for them!

For any of us that went to the Utah game, the crowd was embarrassing.  I understand why people chose to do other things as we were 5 and 4, and it wasn't a big rival.  We will rarely draw the big crowds that one would see at ND or U$C, but I'm fine with that.  We are Nerd Nation where Andrew Luck and Chenay are our spokespeople and I embrace that!  We just need to get back on the right track with a top 10 team and ESPN will come back, maybe next year for Oregon.  Maybe having Corso at Harvard will make it easier for them to justify coming our way next time. 

Nice win today, but let's remember it was the lowly golden bears.  Hundly and company present the real challenge and I'm hopeful that we can execute on Friday, like we did today.  That would make a nice ending to the conference season and salvage some respect on the national stage.  I think Mccaffrey is going to be in the running for the Voldemort before he moves on to the next level.  He and Martinez have really come to play this year!
