From what I can tell, this game is not being live streamed although the Hawaii/North Carolina game will be on immediately afterwords.  Really cheap on the tournament's part not to turn their camera on 2 1/2 hours early. 

Nor is there any radio that I can tell.  The only way I can find to follow will be livestats:

We have never played Prairie View--which is from Texas.  Prairie View has a 2 year old media guide and one year old statistics up on their website, so it is hard to get much recent information on them.  They have gone to the NCAAs the last four years in a row because they win their conference--the SWAC each year, but this year they have started out 0-5, and none of the games have been close.  They have played a lot of good teams, though--including Texas A&M and North Carolina (obviously). 

Their point leader last year was Jeanette Jackson, a 5'7" guard who averaged around 18 points and dishes out almost all the assists.  She is a 31% three point shooter a year ago and three point shots account for about a quarter of her points.

They have two 6'4" centers and a 6'3" center on the roster, and a 6'3" forward, but their leading rebounder is a 6' senior.  So they may actually be as tall as we are, depending on who they play.

It actually sounds like it could be an interesting game...and a good one for our posts to experience as they seek to improve the pick and roll.  Too bad that we cannot see or hear it.

So far, the livestats is bringing only last night's stats from Stanford vs. Hawaii.

Finally it came up late, score tied 6-6 three minutes in.  Amber got an early foul and is sitting, Karlie and Lili and Bri are in, along with McCall and Kaylee.

Five minutes in, we are up 11-6.  Amber is back in after Bri had a miss and a foul.  Karlie has missed a couple of treys.  Lili has scored 5.  Kaylee has a couple free throws and a layup.

We are on a 23-0 run.  Karlie has started to hit her treys.  Kaylee already has 8 rebounds.  We are up 27-6 with 10 minutes left in the half.  Their star player has two fouls.  I think a lot of players are going to get to play before this is over.

Greenfield and Kailee come in for McCall and Karlie.

We are shooting 67%, Prairie View is shooting 12%.

With five minutes left in the half, we have seven players who have scored, with Bri recently hitting a trey.  Greenfield is the only player to play and not score so far.  We are up 38-12 with balanced scoring. McPhee is getting some time now.

Interesting lineup with 4 to go in the half:  Roberson McPhee Greenfield Samuelson McCall.  McCall is feasting: is 3/3 on FGs and 3/4 on FTs.

Now Payne is getting time, and it isn't even the second half.  Would be fun to see these kids play.  A trey by Bonnie and 8 players have scored.

Under two and it is Payne, McPhee, Tess, Bonnie and Bree.  Bree hits another trey.  McPhee scores.  Bonnie gets a layup and we go into the half up 52-18

Thompson, Amber, Kaylee, and Bri were all in double digits.
Erica McCall lead all scorers with 13 and 9 rebounds.  She did very well today.
We shot 62% from three point range AGAIN, making 11/18.  Bri, Lili, Amber, Payne and Rooks all shot 100% from three--although several just took a single shot.
We out rebounded PV 47-28.  Remember, PV has 3 players 6'4".
All our guards and Greenfield had several assists.

Nonetheless, I suspect that Maryland falls out of top ten (10th but lost) and UNC enters...perhaps we'll be #10, keeping that motivational fire lit...glad to see the guards are sharing the ball and McCall scoring. She deserves it, and more balance will strengthen the team, especially our consistency.

I wish we could've played in the reverse order but I really feel the tournament has been very helpful," said VanDerveer, who is in her 29th season as Stanford's coach. "We played against excellent competition and I think people have really improved a lot. I'm really excited. I think our team has really grown."

She seems upbeat.  Meanwhile, North Carolina had to struggle a bit to get past Hawaii, who had their star back at full strength for the game. 

This, on the other hand, puts it in perspective:

"The height difference was h uge," said McCall a 6-foot-3 sophomore forward. "I think it was easier for our bigs to dominate, get a lot of boards and really dominate in the paint."

I worry that McCall does know how to dominate when she has an advantage, but she had not learned how to compete against players who are her own height or taller.  That will be critical in Pac 12 play.  Hopefully that will come along soon, and she will be competitive against Tennessee, even if she can't dominate.
