My glasses are definitely Cardinal-colored these days, but I always figured: If you have a successful, winning program and are well-compensated, why would you want to go anywhere else? Maybe we should ask Mike Montgomery that question. Suspect he got a pretty big raise to take over the Warriors, but did it compensate him for the grief.

The Pac10 has gotten a raw deal from the BCS arrangement on several occasions.  I\'m surprised everyone in the conference isn\'t already on the playoff train.  Either that, or clamoring to go back to the old bowl arrangements.

At #4 in the BCS list isn\'t Stanford assured of a BCS bowl?  If Auburn loses badly, I\'d think TCU would be elevated and Stanford would go to Pasadena.  Otherwise, I suppose, the Fiesta.

Either TCU or Stanford would pose a big challenge for my Badgers.

Yes, if results hold then Stanford\'s guaranteed a BCS spot, but you never know with BCS voters...

That said, the margin is big enough that I\'d be very surprised were Stanford to be edged for the #4 spot. BCS-wise, I think this weekend is all upside for us.

I\'m glad Harbaugh is going on the offensive about keeping Stanford in the BCS picture, even if there\'s no imminent threat, instead of sitting back and watching how things unfold (some Cal folks have complained Tedford wasn\'t aggressive in countering Mack Brown in 2004).
