Back in August, 247 reported that the family of Bryce Love said Love was nominated for the Watkins Award.  I made the mistake of assuming that report meant that Love was a finalist (rather than merely nominated).  As far as I can tell, there still has not been a public announcement of the finalists.

Nevertheless, yesterday, Bryce Love posted a new tweet that he was nominated for the Watkins Award.  I wonder if he actually means that he's a finalist now.  Justin Reid also posted around Thanksgiving that he's been named a finalist and is being flown out to the awards ceremony in February (and the Watkins Award twitter page re-tweeted it).  With all these tweets flying around, it's odd that there is no official announcement.
