As a rotten cherry on top of the sliding toward denouement men's basketball season:
C.al Quantrill is out for the season and will probably undergo Tommy John surgery for a torn elbow ligament. For those who don't follow baseball, that's the #1 starter, son of former major leaguer Paul, Pac-12 Freshman of the Year and 2-0 with a 1.65 ERA or so this season C.al Quantrill.
Hoping that the women's bracket announcement has some positive vibe to it, as far as a top-16 seed and hosting. And wondering if the committee is going to do the whole "oh, let's play Princeton against Stanford to burnish the student-athlete brand" again.
