In addition to those guys, it's a stone cold lock that Jordan Morris will be a part of that Olympic team as well, since he'll still be under 23 and the summer of 2016 will be something of a dead spot in the men's international soccer calendar otherwise, so duties with the senior USMNT wouldn't keep him from being on that team. It's been a lot of fun to see him step into his role with the senior USMNT and not miss a beat.Â
Our men's Olympic team could be pretty solid, given that a few players from the senior roster/player pool will still be age-eligible: Morris, DeAndre Yedlin, Julian Green, and John Anthony Brooks. Add in three over-age players at key positions (like Howard/Guzan at GK, maybe Bradley in MF to keep things calm), and this team could be capable of a deep run. I don't think too many other of the men's Olympic rosters can boast that many senior national team players.Â
