WBB: UConn 63 Stanford 58 season ends

At least the ESPN win probability tracker has Stanford at 51% even though we trail by one at the half.
I'm gonna trust Tara to make the right adjustments at halftime. GO CARD!

To be fair, we haven't done much for the highlight reel yet.
We’ve had some nice points in the paint from Jones and Brink. Not a ton of points, but enough plays you could put one highlight up.

Gotta make some shots. Stanford has only made 1 shot outside of about 3 feet from the basket. Rims seems really tight.

I am more worried about the actual game right now, then getting hung up on this.

Third foul on Nelson Ododa on an illegal screen.
bC
Make that two, with Prechtel’s three.

Considering our “length”, we are really having trouble with defensive rebounds.

Terrible lineup with no offensive threats. Two straight possessions we heave at the shot clock buzzer. Get Brink back in the game. Come on Tara.
Is UConn's defensive scheme that confounding to us? The last two trips down the floor, we continued to look uncertain and tentative and then we just jacked up a desperation three at the buzzer, often by Jones, who's not our best three pointer shooter.
If this is Geno's defensive strategy, it's brilliant and working to perfection.

We need to attack the paint again.

We are down 37-39 after three quarters. A ESPN graphic during the third quarter emphasizes my frustration with our offense - the first 12 FG attempts of the third quarter by us was made outside the paint (or to that effect) - WHY?????
Both Edwards & Nelson-Ododa have three fouls each, we are ice cold from the three point range (2/13), yet we are still attempting perimeter shots and looking lost on the offense. We are just holding the ball aimlessly.
When we do get it into Brink, she's had success. I am not sure why we are not doing what South Carolina does in crunch situations and how they get it into Boston.
Brink has to get more touches or Haley needs to continue attacking the paint more.
