Re: Spring Game Thread - washingtonismoney - 04-15-2017

Costello looks like he has better pocket presence than Chryst and Burns already. Had some inaccurate throws. Looks maybe a bit better on the run than I'd expected. OL looks like a weakness in pass pro.

Re: Spring Game Thread - washingtonismoney - 04-15-2017

Other thing: almost looks like they're trying to force-feed pass plays to Costello. A lot more passing in Costello's three drives to open the game than Burns' drive so far.

Toohill looks like a menace at OLB

Re: Spring Game Thread - Durty Nelly - 04-15-2017

Looks like Tucker and Fanaika are rotating at RG.

Looks like Herbig is in now with the first unit OL.

Re: Spring Game Thread - pcgoode - 04-15-2017

I've been impressed with Speights so far. Some good runs and a couple of nice catches.

Re: Spring Game Thread - CompSci87 - 04-15-2017

Costello hasn't shown much. Burns has looked better.

Re: Spring Game Thread - SamuelMcF - 04-15-2017

Burns has been on the field for the majority of the game.

Agreed; I'd say Speights was the star today.

Re: Spring Game Thread - French Rage - 04-15-2017

It feels for the fast few years that the younger QB tries to put too much on the passes and ends up grounding them.  Perhaps trying to hard to prove themselves.

Re: Spring Game Thread - bl82 - 04-15-2017

While that may be true, the out to Irwin that was perfectly placed with a lot of zip was a thing of beauty and a pass some pro QBs might not be able to make

I thought Costello looked good enough too.  Cool cat with a good arm.Â
