Abeytia says that Wills is a game-time decision, but he also said that Wills is participating in pre-game warmups, so <shruggy>.

I thought someone said this was going to be a packed pavilion. 15 minutes to game time and it’s about 30% full, if that.

Let's do this!
Congrats to Herenton for his first career start on Senior Day.

That’s better. About 75% full now. Late arriving crowd.

Battey fell as he fouled us. Da Silva offered a hand to lift him up. He didn't take it.

35-28 isn’t a bad halftime lead... except when compared to the 35-20 lead we had with 2:30 remaining. Here’s hoping we build it back up to 15 points and don’t give it away this time.

35-28 at halftime in favor of the good guys. C'mon, fellas. No second-half lapse. Bear down, stay focused, and take these guys down like we know you can. Go Cardinal!

You’d think a 65-52 lead with 7 to go would be safe. But Colorado has gone on a 10-0 run to make it a 1 possession game.

What a great win! Nice to see MBB being fun, relevant, successful.

Great win. Losing Davis for a bit contributed to the CU run, but the team was able to play strong on the boards and that was key.
Stanford is probably on the right side of the bubble for now. I only know that three straight losses would kill that dream, so, in ESPN parlance, there is definitely still work to do.

From 11:45 to 0:48, Bryce Wills scored all 17 of Stanford's points. We weren't even sure if he would be playing tonight!

This team puts the "Card" in "cardiac arrest." No lead is safe with these guys, but lately they've been hanging on and fighting for those precious W's! Excellent experience for what should be an even stronger next season with everyone coming back!

My guess is that Stanford gets into the Tournament for sure if they beat Oregon State and win two games in the PAC-12 Tournament. If they only win their first game in the Tournament it becomes much "iffier". It may depend somewhat on who beat them. If the season ended today, and everything follows form, we would get ASU in the second game, I think. We can't lose that one and get in, IMHO. However, if we beat Oregon at Oregon in the regular season, I think we are in for sure. Naturally, the first order of business is to beat OSU. This is a road game. Nothing is a given.

We ended the game on a 7-2 run and it turns out that the 65 points would have been enough, LOL. Sort of an anti-woofing post.
Glad we won. We are a bubble team for sure, but We have a chance for an NCAA berth.

We have beaten two ranked teams now. That loss to USC sent the team into a tailspin, but hopefully they've steadied themselves and regained some confidence. If I'm on the coaching staff, I'd have the guys itching to avenge those close losses when they get to the tournament.

Allowed too many offensive rebounds in the last seven minutes. However if all the pieces return next year they could be really good. Backcourt has three very talented athletes.

Just finished watching game on ESPN app. Stanford played a really good game, composed, and appeared very well coached. Lots of hustle plays and they really competed.
What happened with Davis? The way he reacted, it looked like a totally non-contact knee injury. But later in the broadcast Roxy was saying it was his foot.
If Delaire is gonna play as well as he is now, Stanford has a tournament worthy team. Kisunas, White, and Keefe can be trusted on the floor for enough minutes to spell the starters just enough. Most teams go to a 7-man rotation in tournament play, so depth won’t be an issue if everyone stays healthy for the next 4-5 games. Just can’t spit the bit in Corvallis!

I can't say enough good things about Wills' peformance yesterday. Surely his 17 straight points must be a team record, right? Or maybe a Pac-12 record? Does anyone even track that kind of thing?
I wrote this back in October, and it looks like maybe it's coming to pass. This game plus the Arizona game, too. And he's just a sophomore!
Quote:I'm really excited to see if Bryce Wills can make the leap into being a productive player. He has terrific speed and athleticism, but can he keep it under control and improve his shooting? I was wondering the same thing about KZ Okpala going into last year, and he made a great leap. Wills has a lot of the same tools that Okapala did.
Wills doesn't have Okpala's outside shot yet (though he did hit his one 3-pointer yesteday), but all the other tools are there.
