Technically, that would be 14-1 still on the table, since if we run the table, we will be the Pac-12 north champions and have a chance to play the conference championship game; if we win that we would almost certainly be playoff bound at 13-1.

Predictions widget uses schedule data from
https://collegefootballdata.com/. Championship games / playoffs not yet available. I will update if / when we get there :).

Oregon beating tOSU certainly helps, but with 3 spots going to SEC schools, us losing to the Big-12-with-10-teams may not make this so much of a certainty.

George, "shame" is showing the same prediction as "red hot", at least on mobile.
...hmm, it did a moment ago. Now shame is blank.

I'm watching the Vandy vs Colorado State game. In the first Q, Vandy looked terrible and found themselves down 14 - 0. I'm not impressed, except for their punter. I hope their punter gets a lot of kicks in our game.

Now there isn't a shame. Is that because no one has picked against Stanford?

So Vandy found a weakness in the Rams' corner and exploited it with their big WR Pierce, who is pretty good. Vandy's QB is decent.
BTW, Pierce has long dreadlocks, which will make a great handle to grab and tackle him. This is legal under NCAA rules. We may need this leverage because he's big.
Vandy lost their senior starting center to injury in the last 2 minutes of the game.
Vandy kicked the winning FG with 19 seconds remaining in the game.
The Rams had 448 total yards to Vandy's 342.

Currently, the average is 37-16. Are we over-reacting to the last data point?
The line is currently at Stanford -11, and the predicted score is around 30-19.

FCS South Dakota State destroyed Colorado State week 1 by 19 points. Vandy barely won by 3.
Especially now that Vandy's senior C got hurt, take the cover on -11.

Of course we are over-reacting.

It seems the Cardboard consensus is Shaw went from not being able to do anything right to a coaching genius within the span of week.
My guess is Stanford not as bad as what they looked like against KSU and not as good as they looked against USC.
Probably somewhere in the middle of the two performances.
My prediction: Stanford wins a close one against Vandy 21-17.

No -- see last week's scoring predictions vs Troy.
We over-reacted to the KSST data point....
My view is that Shaw didn't care about the KSST result; he had to pick a QB and sort out the Defense. He did.
Vandy only rushed for 2.8 yds a carry; and went 6 for 18 on third down against COST.
FWIW: After week 2, Sagarin has Stanford pegged at #22 with a 79 rating.
Vandy is listed at #128 rated at 58. Stanford wins on the road, so throw away the 3pt home field bonus @Vandy.
Instead of 11, Sagarin has us up by 3 TDs. Which is EXACTLY the spread provided by the Cardboard brain trust.

I expect to see Jack West in Q4.

Personally, provided the game is the blowout we hope, I would absolutely love to see Ari Patu in garbage time, but expect maybe a drive or 2 of West (with few, if any, passes). West is still QB2 after all, as much as I wish he weren't.
Makes sense that McKee got the whole game in his first start despite the blowout.

I think the Tree-fense takes a little step back from its stellar performance last week and gives up a few more.
The offense keeps on trucking against a much weaker defense.

Agreed! Give me some Patu! Seriously, Patu can't be worse than West and his upside is dramatically higher.

OOC away game...Shaw reverts to turtling, run game, ToP strategy. My guess is 28-13. thunder_dude thinks it'll be 38-31.
