WBB: Stanford 66 Gonzaga 62 - 81alum - 11-20-2021
Preview
We play Gonzaga at their place Sunday at 1pm, to a sold-out crowd. Gonzaga is 3-0, having defeated Montana State, Montana, and Idaho State by comfortable margins. Last year they were 23-4, won the WCC by a point over BYU, but lost in the first round of the NCAAs to Belmont. Along the way they handily defeated the University of Portland twice.
Gonzaga’s leading scorer is NOT one of their starters, which is interesting. Kaylynne Truong, a 5’8” junior guard, is hitting 50% of her treys and 14ppg. Kayleigh Truong—who is a twin sister—does start and is more of a 2 point shooter at 11ppg. Yvonne Ejim, a 6’1’ sophomore also comes off the bench to score 11 ppg, entirely from inside the arc.
Annamaria Virjoghe is a 6’5” Rumanian center who starts and is 5/13 so far this year. Gonzaga also has a 5’8” redshirt senior and a 6’1” senior starting for them—so they are very experienced.
Gonzaga is a deep and experienced team with a proven record of success, and they will be playing at home to a raucous, sold-out crowd in what will be their biggest home game of the season. They will be encouraged to know we are beatable and to have seen how their rival Portland discombobulated us at times. I expect a dogfight.

I thought SWX was free last time we played Gonzaga away. I didn't see anything about membership this time, but maybe just missed it (?).

Something odd. Go Stanford lists the game at 1pm pacific, but SWX lists it at 2pm on their schedule.
I think there may be a different between watching the "livestream" which I presume is "live" at 1pm, and watching it on their schedule, which might be at 2pm and delayed an hour?
Or is there an error in the SWX schedule?
On the SWX live stream there is a ticker going across the bottom that says the game is at 1pm, so my guess is that the 2pm listing is in error.

I really am confused about this SWX thing. I have reached two streams.
One "Stanford vs. Gonzaga (W)" says "will begin momentarily" and lists a 2pm start time.
The first one "SWX Non stop stream Spokane" plays the same stuff about Idaho high school football every time you start it up, so this is clearly some canned loop.
I just hope that one of the two brings the game live at 1:00.

The SWX schedule says 2, so I bet they are delaying it one hour unless you subscribe. But poor information.
