Path to the Final Four, if seeding holds, is Montana State, Kansas, Maryland, & Texas.

If we get that far, we would face the winner of NCST and Yukon in the FF.

Just listened to the explanation re why UConn in Bridgeport by Committee member. Had something to do with the "S" curve. Made no sense...but I don't really care either.

Pretty good bracket for us. We dodge UCONN, Oregon, Louisville, Baylor, Colorado, TN, Kentucky, Iowa, AZ, Gonzaga (in Spokane), Michigan, WSU, Kansas St., South Florida, Villanova and Indiana. All of the above teams are either very very good (UCONN, Baylor, Louisville), hot right now (Iowa, Kentucky), have one or more superstar players who could take over a game (UCONN, Baylor, TN, Kentucky, Iowa, Kansas St., Michigan), beat us before (South Florida), or gave us tough matchups in prior games (Oregon, CU, TN, AZ, Gonzaga, WSU, Indiana).
In our bracket the teams I worry the most about are Maryland, Utah, LSU and Texas. Texas and LSU are probably the hottest teams in our bracket other than us, and Texas beat us already and just took down Baylor. Maryland could be tough as well; we beat them handily in our early-season tournament but they were not at full strength. Utah we’ve beaten 3 times this season, and only one of those games was relatively close (10 points), but they are talented and if they get hot from outside, we could be in trouble.
Overall, I like our chances a lot to make it out of this bracket to the Final Four in Minneapolis.

Six pac-12 teams -- Stanford, Arizona, Colorado, WSU, Oregon, Utah. Utah in Spokane region. But only Stanford and Arizona hosting. I predict the Pac-12 teams will succeed above their seeding levels.

They haven't sent UConn out west since Geno had a hissy fit years ago. Gotta keep Geno happy.
Also trying to wrap my head around the fact that we're scheduled for FRIDAY. Has that ever happened? Or at least at Maples? Seems so...weird.

IMHO SCarolina has easiest path to final 4

Fun time at the fan event. Team competitive shooting practice, Tara answered a ton of questions, and then we watched the selection show on the Jumbotron with the team. ESPN had 60 cameras to catch reaction videos, but not one at Maples.

Did Harriel practice, those who were there? I am curious about her status. Not that she would play this year, just if she is able to practice.
I am happy with our bracket. Nothing is ever easy, but our road is reasonable. I don't know how much the current UConn hype is real. They sure look good and I am happy to avoid them. However they've been playing conference games recently, and their conference is not very good, so of course they look great. Should be a fun tournament.

This is a time I hope Stanford’s game Friday is the late game so I can make it to the game… I can’t miss work :(

Harriel did practice. Tara mentioned her as redshirting.
Jenna Brown was there and suited up, but didn't practice even though it was only shooting.

We are much better than when we played Maryland and Texas before, but so are they. Those will be two difficult games. How much can we learn from the Texas loss? We may likely have a chance to find out. Maryland will be super motivated against us. I remember another key game against Maryland in Spokane that revived our program.....
For some reason I worry more about Maryland than Texas--perhaps it is just the over confidence factor and not allowing for the fact that we played only a part of their team before.
The favoritism toward UConn is disgusting. But they are NC State's problem now.
We should turn our attention to Montana State, Kansas, and Georgie Tech.

Definitely re the last comment. First things first. If we don't get past Montana State, none of the rest matters.

Thx. It has been pretty clear she would be redshirting. I hope it is because she is going to be amazing and there were just too many experienced guards/wings ahead of her.

What were some of the questions asked to Tara? Bummed to have missed it. I think our bracket looks ok. No easy games anymore. I'm confident we will be ready. Matchups that intrigue me: FGCU/Virginia Tech, potentially Ohio State/LSU. I could see some upsets happening.
