WBB -- Stanford 77 -- UNC 71 (OT) - martyup - 01-04-2026

We are 13.5 dogs.  Gotta get our 3 pt shooting back on track.

As mentioned yesterday, Clardy is back. Ok start up 9-5. 4 turnovers already.

RE: WBB -- Stanford vs UNC (10 AM ESPN) - TonyLima - 01-04-2026

Throwing the ball away. Travelling. Isn’t this pretty basic stuff?

RE: WBB -- Stanford vs UNC (10 AM ESPN) - Card10Fan - 01-04-2026

Fundamentals are pretty bad for this team. Most of them mistakes from our upperclassman today. Nunu, Clardy, and Ogden - none have shown up so far. Thank goodness for Shomfai

We've seen pressure from many teams, remember Tennessee, why do we look like deer in the headlights out there. COACHING and PREPARATION.

RE: WBB -- Stanford vs UNC (10 AM ESPN) - BobK - 01-04-2026

Yet we are tied. But yes so sloppy
That was poor on my part As I post NC scores 5

RE: WBB -- Stanford vs UNC (10 AM ESPN) - JohnR34231 - 01-04-2026

We were ahead 23-21 before NC went on a 7-0 run.

Nailed it - that's also the first thing I think of when I see/hear "DITH".  Please add some effective in-game adjustments and prove me wrong....

The offense just continues to be so bad. I know it's been quoted by the HC the defense is ahead of the offense. Obviously. But when are we gonna see the offense start to improve like it's actually being practiced, taught, and emphasized.

In this game, if Shomfai and Eschmeyer hadn't made a few perimeter shots, we'd be down 10-15+ points. That is not the way to win on the road. "Hoping" the freshman make some threes (despite their season percentages) to bail the offense out.

Without some adjustments at halftime, this will catch up to us and we will lose by 10+ points.

76lsjumb - 76lsjumb - 01-04-2026

Indya Nivar is the best Stanford player on the court right now…

Yeah it would be nice to have her and Betts in there for us now.

Pretty much agree.

Otherwise, just a minor nit - it's Somfai

Down 50-54 end of Q3.
Well, at least we aren't getting blown out and are in striking distance.

RE: WBB -- Stanford vs UNC (10 AM ESPN) - martyup - 01-04-2026

We found our 3 pt shooting.  We are in this, but we need a spurt in the end.

RE: WBB -- Stanford vs UNC (10 AM ESPN) - TonyLima - 01-04-2026

Is it just me or are the zebras calling more ticky-tack fouls against us? Esp offensive fouls.

… and 5 on Nunu. Even the announcers have noticed.

Tony love displacing is a foul. Ugh agree with you

RE: WBB -- Stanford vs UNC (10 AM ESPN) - Card10Fan - 01-04-2026

Game is right there for the taking. Props to Ogden, Clardy, and Eschmeyer for some big plays in the 2nd half.

RE: WBB -- Stanford vs UNC (10 AM ESPN) - petersalas - 01-04-2026

Of course cause it’s Chuck Gonzales officiating this game

I think Nivar is very talented and great defensively, but watching how she plays (kind of undisciplined, out of control at times), i'm not sure she would fit in our system at Stanford in the grand scheme of things. Seems like a good fit at Carolina and worked out for her.

19 to’s so far.
