RE: FB -- Elon Game Thread - martyup - 10-17-2026

Matt Rose is still out.

Terrible first possession for Stanford.  Bailed out by a defensive holding penalty.  First down.

RE: FB -- Elon Game Thread - ADPinWDC - 10-17-2026

Almost a three and out to open
We get bailed out by Defensive holding.

Extra yards by Micah Ford after breaking tackles.
Past midfield

Now we're rolling.  Two first downs on two plays.  Keep it going.

I can get Mercer at Samford, but not Elon at Stanford on DirecTV. How pathetic.

RE: FB -- Elon Game Thread - martyup - 10-17-2026

Why would we take that holding penalty and give them another shot at 3rd down?  It would have been 4th and 9.
