Thanks. Improvement is good.
She had a tough start to the year (pitching against Oklahoma is never easy, but she also had some appearances against Charlotte etc. that weren't great); but she has been absolutely on fire since the no-hitter against Nevada. Great to see her pitching with a lot of confidence to get a second no-no today.

And having an especially good night even by her high standards. 13K's for Faraimo has the Bruins three outs
away from opening the series with a win.

Game 2; #3 UCLA up on #6 Stanford 2-1 middle of the sixth inning.
Final: UCLA wins 2-1. Stanford only had three hits. Hitting needs to improve against top pitching by end of regular season.

Regan had a great start today, but a couple of poor pitches against an experienced hitter like Aaliyah Jordan was the difference in the game and the series.
Stanford is really missing Caelan's bat in the lineup; the broadcast tonight indicated it was a season-ending injury, which is horrible news if true.
Card's depth is being tested, with Johnna Schroeder out for the season with an ACL injury (according to the Daily), Koch's injury, and Sydnee Huff is apparently not listed on the gostanford roster after having not played at all this season.
Ellee Eck has had some good at-bats filling in for Koch against UCLA. Hopefully she can build on this.

Broadcast indicated today that Canady is available to pitch. It sounds like it is a combination of rest (off a possible injury) and acclimation to Pac
as far as why she hasn't featured since the Oregon series.
Card trail 2-0 in B4 as they look to avoid a sweep in Westwood.

Stanford loses 3-0 and gets swept by UCLA. Bruins are the clear favorites to win Pac regular season title.
Stanford will need to rebound quickly next week to buttress the great work that they have done toward a possible
top 8 seed next week at home against Arizona.
Probably a must-win series to avoid slipping further down the Pac/postseason picture, though
Card were helped this weekend by Texas getting swept by Oklahoma, Washington losing a series at Arizona State,
but Florida State swept Georgia Tech (and already has a series win at Duke compared to our neutral site loss to
Blue Devils). That is what is tough about these H2H matchups (when we lose); they end up inevitably becoming point(s) of comparison
when assessing who should host as a top 8 vs a top 16 etc.

One run in three games? I hope the bats wake up at the end of the season against good pitching. Last year Stanford beat UCLA 2 out of 3 games.

Home Field in softball is real (hence the brobdingnagian benefit hosting as top 8 or top 16). There have been years when every seeded team advanced out of regional round. Last year was very much the exception with Stanford, Oregon State etc. going on the road and winning regionals etc.
Card are undefeated at home this year (13-0). Let's hope for another great weekend from the fans against a marquee program like Arizona.

Stanford vs #20 Arizona; first of three game series. Vawter pitching. Arizona is 3-6 at road games (not including neutral sites). Arizona starting four freshmen; no seniors on the roster.
Stanford up 4-0 after four innings.

Card with a pretty easy win on back of great pitching and more comfortable performance at plate at home.
Stanford also got help nationally toward NCAA tourney positioning, with LSU, Clemson and Tennessee all
taking losses at home (and Clemson taking two, and losing their series). However, in Clemson's case,
the losses were to Florida State, which certainly look like a top 8 seed, after taking road series at
both Duke and Clemson.

Also RPI of PAC-12 is very good.
Game 2 of 3, middle of third inning, Stanford tie with Arizona 0-0. Krause pitching strikes and holding up well so far.

I would like to see her get the start tomorrow with the series secured. And then Vawter and Krause would both be available in
relief.

Stanford vs Arizona in game 3 of a three game series. Game tied 1-1 after two innings. Gindlesperger stole two bases in one play and eventually scored in the first inning. Vawter gives up a home run in second inning.

Stanford finishes off the sweep of the Wildcats. It is the first three-game sweep in program history against Arizona (Stanford did have a two game sweep in 2009).
Series was fairly close at times, but Stanford's pitching and defense was markedly better than Arizona's, and as a result, a deserved sweep for the Cardinal.
Stanford is at least temporarily tied for second place with Washington; UW with a 3-0 lead on Cal as they also go for a sweep.
