The 1999 draft seems too early for Posey.
I don't think Ichiro Suzuki was drafted.
Maybe Adrian Beltre. Or more likely, Albert Pujols?

I cheated and looked, too. WAR almost double Vlad's and almost 50% better than Rolen.

Thought it was Ainsworth. Should have weighed in. No clue on Pujois. Pretty good 13th rounder.

Who am I? I was an understudy to a Stanford College Hall of Fame running back. I was shifted to safety my sophomore season and started that year showing great promise. I did not return the next season.
#2 I was a starting tackle on a Rose Bowl team but did not return for my senior season because I started a rock n roll band. Yo Qwerty
#3 I was a member of the Thunderchickens vs Ohio State set to return for my senior year but wrote an article that was critical of the Stanford program and didn’t return.

Slight correction on Chapman. He was moved to defense about halfway through his freshman season and started.
I don't know what happened at SDSU. He was credited with 2 career tackles,

Didn’t know that about McClure.
Jubb told me one factor that influenced his decision not to return for senior year was a certain coach who insisted he try to play through a painful knee injury that had already cost him 3 games on the sideline. Coach (not Ralston) said “Pain is good, it keeps you alert.”

Aaron and Mathews are correct. Bonus points for correctly guessing that they are #1 on the list. They hit 863 home runs in 1954-1966.
Ruth and Gehrig are correct, with 859 home runs in 1923-1934. They rank 2nd on the list.
Not Bonds and Kent (454 HRs in 1997-2002).
Not Canseco and McGwire (400+ HRs in 1986-1991 and parts of 1992 and 1997. I haven't gone back to count exactly how many HRs each of them hit during the partial seasons they were teammates).

Mays and McCovey are correct, with 801 HRs in 1959-71 and part of 1972. They rank 3rd on the list.

Not Mantle and Berra (702 HRs in 1951-63).
