I didn't really hear the question, but it must have been about how the freshmen were doing. He said something positive about Sami Francis that I didn't catch, then said (if I heard right!) that Kami Miner is ahead in the competition for starting setter, and that Taylor Beaven will definitely play as a DS. He then mentioned the other freshmen briefly.
You heard correctly. I believe he said that Sami Francis may be a starter. I also believe he said that Holly Campbell was fully recovered and looking good.
Courtney Thomson is, indeed, enthusiastic, and she delivered all of the obligatory digs at UW, so that was nice… :-) I may be able to forgive her for all the hassle she caused us when she was there…

That's good news about the freshmen, exactly what I expected would happen although it's surprising he would say one setter is ahead of the other. Xu probably knows where she stands so I guess it's ok for her to hear the coach say it. My question now is will Francis be starting at MB or OPP. I expect it will be OPP with Kipp at OH.
For the Olympic final roster team the players had the option of having the decision told to them in person or emailed to them. Plummer and Carlini opted for notification by email. They must have sensed where they stood in the pecking order.
In regard to the scrimmage my plan was to show up and hope they have a list people who bought tickets.

two years ago there was a list for the scrimmage--I remember well because I wasn't on it!
After a double take I realized the tickets were in my wife's name.

I’ll call Stanford tomorrow morning if no tix by then but I’ve been to many Open scrimmages in Maples basketball and volleyball where they had lists at a table where you enter
Francis right side. We have 4 really good middles

Two days to the scrimmage. Nebraska's upcoming team scrimmage is sold out; 8,000 plus. What a fan base.
I heard Francis is injured. Source not well known to me so we'll find out in two days.

Could be isolating due to a COVID contact, I suppose.

The incoming freshmen pictures were loaded onto the volleyball roster today except for Francis. There is an issue with her of some sort.

Fun day.

Does anyone who attended the scrimmage have any impressions they'd like to share? What did you learn? Anyone stand out? Are we going to be competitive with the powerhouses on our early pre-conference schedule? Thanks!
