Yep, and I think the recent changes to the golf course - more native grasses, deeper & tougher bunkers, etc. - are in part an effort to get NCAA championships played here. The course is tougher and in better condition than I've ever seen in 35 years of playing it.
After watching the last two weeks, I think the Blessings course is a joke. About as bad as Shinnecock was at the US Open. I've seen too many good shots end up 25 yards off the green or in a hazard. When <20% of the field is under par, they need to rethink things.

Yes. I'm glad Texas won. OKST had a bad day today - Hovland and Wolff are #1 and #2 in college golf for a reason. I'm glad Salida & Wu don't have to play them.
Tomorrow will still be very difficult, but I think it's pretty close to 50/50.

not sure Stanford is quite long enough any more even at a par 70. may be 2 par 4s that aren't wedge approaches this time of year -- #2 and #12. a couple 59s over the past 5 years.
with that said, good to see the long overdue investment in the course.

Really good matchup.
We're capable of winning at all five spots,
but Daulet is the clear underdog.
Salinda v. Hammer--who was six under on the front yesterday--
is the epic.
Salinda was 11 strokes better in stroke play.

We're evening things up now. This may come down to the wire. 1-1-3. One Coody up 2 on Daulet and one Coody down 2 to Wu.
Daulet just holed a chip shot to win the hole. Nice shot. He's one down through 6.

We are down 2-1-1. Wu is up 3, Tuleuvayev is down 3, and Snyder is down 1. Salinda and Shimp are all square with their opponents. Roughy 7-9 holes completed.

Everyone is playing pretty well so far. Tuleubayev is 3 down but his opponent is playing lights out. The only hole that Tuleubayev has won was a chip in eagle.
Salinda has been steady - fairways and greens and let the opponent make mistakes. He is 1 up.
Wu is playing great, his best of the week. He is 3 up.
Shimp and Soosman is a critical match. Shimp just took his first lead of the match.
Snyder at the anchor also has been steady but so has his opponent Chervony. Snyder is 1 down and has never led. Chervony has not given Snyder much of an opening.

Unlike yesterday, Hammer seems to be letting the pressure get to him. He's showing frustration after missing shots. Salinda looks steady.
Snyder has barely missed a couple of make-able putts today. He is now down 2. We might need his point, so I hope he keeps his head.

Ugh. Shimp 3 putted to lose the 13th. His lead is cut to 1.
Salinda looks great as Hammer is fighting his swing. But Hammer is really good around the green which has allowed him to stay in the match.
Snyder had to make a 15 footer for birdie on 10 just to halve the hole. He remains 2 down.
Wu is 3 up. Salinda is 3 up.
Shimp and Soosman is the critical match.

Wu missed a 10 footer for birdie that would have put him 4 up.
Salinda keeps the pressure on Hammer. Middle of the fairway, then 15 feet from the hole on 14. Salinda is now dormie 4 - 4 up with 4 to play.
