Although it's over a year old, in DJC's "Stanford Story" video, she says that she wants to get a master's or PhD in Psychology.
Given her post-basketball career goals, it only makes sense that academics still matter to DJC. According to Baylor's website, they have faculty members in both the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience and the Department of Anthropology who teach forensics.
In any case, it sounds like I'm not convincing a lot of folks, so I guess we can agree to disagree.
It was the Bald Faced Truth interview:

I ain't going back to listen to it again, though.

Dan Olson on ESPN lists Jenna Brown as one of the HS recruits he overrated, even though his rationale stems more from her lack of playing time due to our depth in the backcourt rather than a misjudgment of her skill set, though it would be nice to see her display more of the skills he mentioned in his explanation:
"A Stanford commit, Brown was the second-ranked point guard in the Class of 2018 and the 18th-ranked prospect overall. With The Lovett School, she showed she could control the game, knock down 3-pointers and thread the needle with precise passes. She was a McDonald's All-American and a Jordan Brand Classic All American.
Brown averaged 1.6 points per game as a freshman and 2.0 points as a sophomore, but this isn't a knock on her as much as it is a testament to the Cardinal's depth in the backcourt."

I hope so too. I root for Jenna to succeed. No particular reason, I just fine her very easy to root for. Bummer late last season when she was out hurt just as she was starting to get better minutes and a lot of praise from the coaches.

I got to sit at Jenna's table at last year's postseason banquet. She is super likeable. I think she can really contribute, but needs to build confidence in her shooting so that defenders can't sag off of her.

Good to see the Hannah Jump highlights. We haven't had a high volume / high percentage 3-point shooter on the team since Karlie Samuelson. By high volume, I'm arbitrarily saying over 100 3-pt shots attempted and high percentage I'm saying over 40%. Jump shot 43/104 for a percentage of 41.3%.
Here is Karlie Samuelson by year:
Fr - 32/92, 34.8%
So - 41/103, 39.8%
Jr - 80/169, 47.3%
Sr - 96/198, 48.5%

Mikaela Ruef playing in Australia. Good to see she is healthy again after suffering some injuries. Interesting little side note is her teammate, Jade Melbourne, is committed to ASU for 2021.

Karlie would have had many more except opponents were keying on her in her senior year and the rest of our offense, while good, was not so good as to relieve pressure on her. Her threat made the rest of the offense better, but it did not help her to pad stats. She turned the rest of the game into a 4 on 4.

Was that an air ball Fran threw up on a short turnaround jumper right at the end? Everything else looked very solid.

Nah, she was practicing the pass that Fran is going to take and dunk ;P
Seriously, these young women always come across as so mature, thoughtful. Listening to them talk is almost as inspiring as watching them play.

In this game Ruef started and made some good plays, helping with a late 4th quarter comeback to put her team up 3, then rolled her ankle and was carried to the bench. She couldn't return and they ended up losing in overtime. Ugh.
