Absolutely. Northwestern beat Arkansas on the first playoff hole to knock off the Razorbacks, and Oregon won on the second playoff hole, so it'll be #5 Oregon vs. #11 Northwestern in the other semifinal.
They should re-seed the bracket like the NFL does! Though not sure that would help much--Northwestern just beat the #2 team in the country, and they got a 3&2 win over the individual NCAA champion. Match play is terrifying and exhausting and unpredictable.

FWIW, here's how everyone in this semifinal did in the stroke play and then the first round, with WAGR rankings in parens:
1. Paula Martin Sampedro (#13) vs. Kaylah Williams (#597)
Williams won her match over USC's Xin (Cindy) Kou (#406) 5&4, while we all know how Sampedro did.
In stroke play, she shot 78/74/75/75 for +14, while Sampedro went 73/68/67/73 for -7. But in the first round this morning, relative to par, Sampedro shot an even par 72 while Williams was -3 with four holes to go, so clearly she had it going this morning.
2. Megha Ganne (#11) vs. Lottie Woad (#1)
Ganne's match was tied up when the match was clinched, while Woad won 4&3 over USC's Jasmine Koo (#7).
In stroke play, Woad went 72/71/71/69 for -5, while Ganne went 74/71/70/69 for -4. Relative to par this morning, Woad was -3 with 3 holes to go, while Ganne was +2 with 3 holes to go, but that includes her triple on 13.
3. Kelly Xu (#29) vs. Sophia Fullbrook (#261)
Xu lost her match 3&2, while Fullbrook got stomped 6&5 by USC's Kylie Chong (#348).
In stroke play, Fullbrook went 75/71/73/77 for +8, while Xu went 72/69/68/71 for -8. Relative to par this morning, Fullbrook was +5 with 5 holes left and Xu was +2 with 2 holes left.
4. Andrea Revuelta (#4) vs. Mirabel Ting (#2)
Revuelta won her match 5&3, while Ting won hers 3&1 over USC's Bailey Shoemaker (#64).
In stroke play, Ting went 70/71/69/68 for -10, while Revuelta went 74/73/69/74 for +2. Relative to par this morning, Ting was +1 with one hole left while Revuelta was -3 with 3 holes left.
5. Meja Ortengren (#15) vs. Alexandra Gazzoli (#718)
Ortengren won her match 2&1, while Gazzoli was tied with USC's Catherine Park (#6) with three holes left when the match was clinched.
In stroke play, Gazzoli went 80/71/80/76 for +19, while Ortengren went 77/70/66/71 for -4. Relative to par this morning, Gazzoli was +1 with 3 holes left, while Ortengren was E with 1 hole left.
* Sampedro was 2 up through 3, but then she lost 4 and 5 and the match is all square again
* Ganne is 1 up through 4;
* Xu is 1 down through 3;
* Revuelta is 1 down through 3; and
* Ortengren is tied through 2.
So, nothing more than 1 up either way right now.

Get ready for more of the same. This one will likely be tight. I think that Stanford's approach is to be cautious about going at the pin. Make a lot of pars and wait for the opponent to make mistakes. That worked this morning. Martin Sampedro won her match with a single birdie. Ortengren won with only 2 birdies. Ganne was all square in her match with only 2 birdies. All of this from a team that made the most birdies in the field (73) over the 4 stroke play rounds.
By the way, keep an eye out for fatigue, both mental and physical. Mis-hit irons that come up short and/or right. Missed short putts and unexpected 3 putts. On the other hand, a team that starts to make putts can really get a momentum boost.
All 10 players look really solid so far. Reflected in the match score - 3 all square, 1 up for FSU, 1 up for Stanford.

Ganne tied with Woad
Revuelta down 1 vs Ting
Ortengren down 2 vs Gazzoli
The Ortengren match is troubling as that's one I was hoping would be solidly Stanford. The games against the two FSU stars (Woad and Ting) are tight and could go either way. But ... If Xu and Sampedro hold up we only need one of those last three matches to fall our way. FSU needs all of them to win.

Sampedro and Xu have won.
Ting has played bogey-free golf, forcing Revuelta to score a birdie to win her only hole so far. Ting has also won 1 hole on a birdie, but 2 holes on Revuelta's bogeys. Unfortunately this match is going to be tough for Revuelta to turn around.
Ganne is again tied with FSU's other star (Woad), and Ortengren has reduced her deficit to 1. We just need one of them to win.

We play until a team wins three matches (which means extra holes in all 3 outstanding matches).
