If there is even the remotest possibiity of Canady returning to Stanford for her senior year, I'd hope that all softball fans would welcome her back.

I would absolutely 100% welcome Canady back and would look forward to a national championship. If Stanford offered her $200K for her senior year what would the response be? Would her father say "I spit on your pathetic offer Stanford" or would her family think the publicity of an NC outweighs money? I don't know.
Canady insists publicly that money (one-year, $1,050,024 NIL contract) had nothing to do with it. She wanted assurances she would be able to bat full time in the games she pitched.
Texas Tech is currently 23-8. If they make the tournament with Canady pitching every game they might do well, but they won't win the world series.

Can the coaches please recognize Coach Allister with National Coach of the Year this year if the team continues on this trajectory? A hallmark of the Allister era has been teams consistently overachieving expectations, but it is unreal that this team is legitimately in contention for a top 8 seed (and would be a lock top 16 seed) if the season ended today.

She was definitely getting her chances to bat early in the season but she has not had any ABs since March 1.

Stanford beats Notre Dame 6-2 in game 2. Aggressive base running not working may have cost the Cardinal some additional runs.
When the Stanford pitching coach goes out to the mound, she looks the same age as the players.

Might have to do with her "soft tissue injury" which has limited her appearances.

In game 3 Notre Dame is up 2-0 over Stanford after one inning. Is the freezing temperature having an effect on Stanford players? I don't know. ND has to deal with it also. Announcer keeps saying how players' fingers are feeling the cold. This game will be a challenge for Stanford.
Or maybe not a problem. Economides just blasted a two run home run.
Stanford will need a bunch of runs to win this game.

Athletes love to play on teams that win and contest for championships. In a sport where the NIL money is small, I would think Stanford would be a preferred destination if you can get in.
The stat improvement is mind boggling. Last year the team it .273, this year it is hitting 370, that is across the board. We have 4 or 5 players hitting over .400 and have 42 homeruns and last year we hit we hit 56 for the season and had just two players hitting over .300. I imagine no other team can match those improvements.

Oops I did it again. Economides with another home run blast. That wasn't a nice way to welcome a new ND pitcher. Stanford up 7-3.

From 2-0 down to Stanford leads 12-3 now.
Coach left Alyssa Houston in a little too long, so the Fighting Irish manage 4 runs to avoid the run rule. Stanford leads 12-7 heading to the seventh. Still 3 outs away from a win.

Sweep clinched. Stanford dominates Notre Dame 13-7. The win streak now stands at 11 in a row.

Stanford up 4-0 against Kentucky after top half of the first inning. Stanford hitting the ball well (5 for 8).
Chung struggling to get the ball over the plate but manages to get out of the inning. Stanford 4-0. Hopefully Chung settles down in the second inning.
Pretty nice day for a softball game. Sunny, not too cold, not windy. I'm watching on SECN+. The video quality is outstanding.

What an outstanding performance so far by Stanford on the road against a solid Kentucky squad. It is 8-1 now in the bottom of the sixth.

I am not a major softball fan, but Kern has maybe the most perfect swing I have ever seen.
